Diverse Journeys Coming Together - Bound by the Yajña Bhāvanā
"The paramārtha (~essence) of our belief is to do ātmabhāvanā (~invoking the entire cosmos /आत्मवत्सर्वभूतेषु) in dravya (~substance). This act is called Yajña"
Kavisamrāṭ Viśvanātha Satyanārāyaṇa
Diverse and fascinating journeys of each of the members of Dharmādhārā converged at this juncture towards paramparā bīja rakṣā (protecting the seeds of the various traditions of yore that one belongs to (or) one has come to become a part of).
One of the exemplars of paramparā bīja rakṣā can be seen in the person of Brahmaśrī Dendukūri Veṅkateśvara Dīkṣitulu ((Vyūḷha) Pauṇḍarīka Yājin), one of the few Āhitāgni-s in the entire world. It requires a lot more to explain this. Suffice it to say that the Trustees of Dharmādhārā were fortunate to associate and be part of theTriṣāhasrāgni yukta Mahāvrata Yāga, which was performed by the Pauṇḍarīka Yājin, held between Śrī Plava Māgha Śukla Ṣaṣthi (tatkāla Saptami) and Māgha Kṛṣṇa Pratipada in Kali 5122 (that is, 07.02.2022 - 17.02.2022 CE).
In a sense, this was the first concrete activity of Dharmādhārā, long before it took the current shape and form. One may read a note on the Triṣāhasrāgni yukta Mahāvrata Yāga here.
Our meeting with Brahmaśrī Dendukūri Veṅkateśvara Dīkṣitulu ((Vyūḷha) Pauṇḍarīka Yājin) happened through Śrī Śrī Amṛtānanda Sarasvatī Śrīcaraṇ.
The Founding Trustee, President and Mentor - Smt. Yeragudipati Girijakumari (Vadlapatla) - is a retired Principal of Government High School, Jiyaguda, Hyderabad. As an educator, she trained, enabled and helped transform the lives of hundreds of students. Her maternal home is in Nellore where they have a very strong foothold near the legendary Talpagiri Sri Ranganatha Swami Devalayam. She strove hard to run a Samskrita Pathashala in Nellore even as she was handling her official duties in the School in Jiyaguda. This did not take off as desired, but it taught several lessons on what is needed to be done and how far we are from that goal. She, along with her husband Late Sri Vadlapatla Gurunatha Rao, desired to build a Samskrita Kalashala in a plot bought near the famous Balaji Temple in Chilkur. This could not come to fruition during the lifetime of Late Sri Gurunatha Rao. Let us call this Gurunatha Swapna.
Another of the Founding Trustees, and Treasurer, Sri Om Vadlapatla (alias Govinda Śarma) - having spent a substantive part of adult life in the US, working and later to build his own company, decided along with his wife Dr. Sowmya Josyula (Vadlapatla) to move back to India and as a first step towards that, decided that their first child will be born in India. This shift to India - and a corresponding effort to reclaim the inheritances that he carries, Sri Om Vadlapatla, has been working on re-working the life in terms of the anuṣṭhāna (practice) of Śāstrīya Karma Kāṇḍa. This effort led him to gain the blessings of HH Jagadguru Śaṅkarācārya of Dwāraka and Jyotirmaṭh Brahmalīn Svāmī Svarūpānanda Sarasvatī Mahārāj and through His Holiness' direction, receive the guidance from Śrī Śrī Amṛtānanda Sarasvatī Śrīcaraṇ. Sri Om started exploring the ways of realizing Gurunatha Swapna. In this process, he came into contact with several Vaidika-s which gave him a picture of the state of the learning in the Veda and Śāstra in the country today. This process led him to re-imagine the realizing of Gurunatha Swapna - which by now has grown in his mind from Samskṛta Kalāśāla to a full fledged Śāstra Gurukula. While he was in quest in such a direction, his uncle, Prof. K Viswanath (of IIIT-H and formerly with University of Hyderabad), felt it appropriate to connect one of the students of IIIT-H and someone working in these directions, Sri Pranav Kumar Vasishta with Sri Om.
The third of the Founding Trustees, and Secretary, Sri Pranav Kumar Vasishta, an associate of Pūrṇapramati (www.purnapramati.in) - the effort towards paramparā bīja rakṣā running in Bengaluru, with the blessings of Pejawar Swamiji, was in the process of realizing a similar effort in Hyderabad when he got introduced to Sri Om Vadlapatla. As a student of Dharmaśāstra-s and the Constitution of India, Sri Pranav is desirous of realizing the reality of the Constitution as it operates in a manner that is in harmony with the eternal Constitution that constitutes reality.
The deliberations between Sri Pranav and Sri Om and the realization that the task envisaged calls for a collective engagement in the spirit of co-ownership akin to the kind found in the Satra Yāga (where everyone involved is a Yajamāna (~owner)) is only the way forward for such efforts, is gradually resulting in the expanding the members who join the effort and initially it started with Sri Viswanadha Satyanarayana (grandson of Kavisamrāṭ Visvanātha Satyanārāyaṇa), Dr. Pingali Sridhar (grandson of the Telugu literary great Acharya Pingali Laxmikantam).
Paramparā bīja rakṣā is a requirement for current times and all those who desire to reclaim or reinvigorate or regenerate or all of these together of their Paramparā-s are requested to connect and involve with us in our collective journey together towards realizing Rāma Rājya.
